Kelvin was called to the Bar in 2023 and joined the Chambers upon his completion of pupillage with Mr. Charles J. Chan, Ms. Queenie W.S. Ng, Mr. Edward Poon and Mr. Solomon Lam.

Kelvin is developing a broad practice across Chambers’ specialisms with emphasis on construction, land and building management, personal injuries, industrial summons, and arbitration. He is regularly instructed to appear as trial advocate in different levels of courts. He accepts instructions in all areas of Chambers’ work.

Hang Chin Marble Engineering Ltd. v Pacific Marble & Granite Ltd. [2025] HKCFI 480 – represented the plaintiff at trial and successfully claimed against the contractor for outstanding payments (with Solomon Lam)

Wing Lok Construction & Engineering Co. Ltd. v Techoy Construction Co. Ltd. [2025] HKCFI 3310; [2025] HKCFI 5546 – represented the defendant at trial and successfully defended and counterclaimed against the subcontractor over a dispute in a demolition and ancillary works sub-contract (With Solomon Lam)

Lau Oi Wing v Tsang Wing Kong t/a Kim Yuen Recycle Co (sued as a firm) and Others [2025] 3 HKLRD 804 – successful joinder application out of time in an employees’ compensation claim

Hung Pui Man v Intercontinental Limousine Company Ltd [2025] HKDC 1721 – successfully resisted a wasted cost order against the plaintiff’s solicitors

香港特別行政區 訴 衞安工程有限公司 及另一人 KTS 9779/2023, HCMA 143/2025 – representing the sub-contractors who were summoned with one count of “liability of proprietor” (with Oscar Tan)

香港特別行政區 訴 年記建設有限公司 (D2) STS 3356 & 3357/2023 – represented a sub-contractor who was summoned with 2 counts of “fail to take adequate steps to prevent a person on the site from falling from a height of 2 metres or more”.  On day 2 of trial, the prosecution offered no further evidence against D1 (the main contractor) on the basis that D2 pleads guilty to the summons

Criminal

香港特別行政區 訴 高志豐 [2024] HKDC 1690 – represented the defendant who was charged with 5 counts of “blackmail” and “criminal intimidation”.  The defendant pleaded guilty to charge 2 and 5 before trial and was acquitted of charges 1, 3 and 4 after trial (with Oscar Tan and Josephine Chiu)
